DVD ripping software?

In vlc, have you tried, media - open disc - disc device - browse then search for the video_ts folder.
I've just ripped a minute of dvd but only have one vob file in that folder, but I was able to select the whole folder, worth a try.

Also I presume you have massive amounts of storage and want to preserve the quality of the film, which is why you haven't converted it to another format?

Cheers, I'll try that next, I'm just currently trying out a program called vobEdit.

I have a 1tb drive aye, I don't see the point of lessening the quality in anyway. :)

Edit - when you said you ripped a minute of dvd - how big was each *.vob on the disc?

Edit 2 - "Join VOB Files Tool" appears to have done the trick. Nice. Good combo of DVD Fab and the just linked tool appear to do what I want. :)

With DVDFab Platinum, you can rip the DVD and output it to what ever structure you want, VOB, AVI, Divx/Xvid and H264. You can adjust the sound, file size, bit-rate, frame rate and resolution.
This one program does everything I need.
