DVD To MP4 Suggestions

[timmy85]

Hi,
My mother in law has asked me to backup some home video DVD's from my wife's childhood to her cloud storage and her laptop. It's been years since I did any form of DVD ripping, does anyone have any suggestions for some decent freeware to get the job done please? I've tried handbrake but the program stops working each time once it gets to about 20%.

I used to use SlySoft CloneDVD Mobile to convert my home DVDs to MP4s. They are gone but reborn as RedFox CloneDVD Mobile now. You get 21 days free trial.
