As for why that video wasn't removed I don't know, I don't get GD RTMs. Sometimes Dons are busy and miss them, if they do, RTM them again if your sure they need to be removed.

No we don't. Its not our job to go around checking everything for you. I don't care if a youtube video may have swearing in it and it may offend people.

I also don't RTM as it makes no difference anyway. I've seen plenty of offensive stuff get allowed on here and I've seen plenty get deleted. Its inconsistent what does and does not stay up so I don't bother. And I'm sure that's not a case of some stuff being reported and some stuff not.

I doubt it after reading many worse things on here over the years. Swearing is just swearing. Its not discriminatory or anything like that.

Dons and UBs aren't here because we have to be, but because we do care about the state of this forum and many members are in the same boat.

Yes, I get that but its still subjective and based on your opinions what does and does not get deleted. So I just leave it up to you to decide. The only person's posts I RTM are my own occasionally (I think).

although I agree with you on some points, I also feel that as a community we should be looking out for others.


it's what it's all about isn't it??

Try administering a forum with as many boards, subforms, members. I'm sure you would not find it easy.

"It's not our job", well it's OUR community (owned by OcUK please thankyou). If you want to contribute to it, do it, if you don't care - it's up to you. But don't blame people who VOLUNTARILY try to make this place better and abide by the owners rules.

As far as I am aware all the mods do not get paid for this and therefor do it when they can.

Also, "It's not our job", going off topic but - see this much these days? British culture kicking in. Next thing will be blaming me for something he should have done!!!

I don't blame people who RTM stuff but as is said countless times its Spie's forum, he pays for it and its his rules. Its anything but some collective democracy and its simply an extension of his business.
 
It's almost certainly been mentioned already, but he should only be allowed back on the pre-requisite that he clears up all the questions we have answers to - did he get his PS3? Can we see his book? .... :p
 
So why was he banned then ? is there a limit on how many posts you can post or on what subject, if people have a problem with his questions then dont reply simple.

Perhaps you should look at removing this from the RTM page then?

The capitalised 'ONLY', seems to strongly suggest that those are the ONLY things that should be reported using the RTM feature.

Something like:
