DVI Cable physically stuck - any good ideas?!

As per subject, the socket of my HDMI cable is stuck in my monitor. It has those extended long screw in plastic bits on either side which allow you to tighten it in place with your fingers and one just goes round and round - the bugger is that it's shielding any attempt to actually get to the screw beneath it! This must have happened before to people, but I'm damned if I can find a simple answer online. Any big ideas, cos I need to sell it on ebay and at the moment, I'm erm... screwed?!

sorry whoops - DVI! Thats the fellow! And yes, Ive tried pulling it firmly, aswell as screwing it back in hard then back out again! Stupid thing! Will have another try in a minute though, inspired by the goodwill of people's suggestions!

I didnt know HDMI cables screwed in, I thought it was only DVI and VGA

Might want to read more than the first post :p

I can't think of any physical reason why it'd be stuck apart from the screw shearing off with half of it in the monitor and half in the plug. Only thing you can do really is wiggle and pull at it until hopefully you break the thread (on the plug preferably!)
