I've got one HDMI port on my monitor, and I have a desktop machine and netbook both which have DVi-D
I need some sort of splitter device that will allow me to easily connect either my laptop or my desktop PC, obviously the PC cable will always be connected, but the laptop will be connected only when I need it on the big screen, when the netbook is connected then the desktop pc will be turned off.
I bought a cheap one off ebay and it didn't really work, I think perhaps it was meant to use one device and display on multiple screens.
