Hi

I've decided to plug my PC to my HDMI TV to save space but I have a problem, if I try to change the resalution (excuse my bad spelling) I lose part of the screen off the end, I can't find a way to alter this, please help cause I'm stuck at 1024x768.

Thanks

Think I've solved it, turns out it's something to do with overscan (or so I read) it only affects the 8800 series cards, sorted it by changing monitor properties to show unsupported res and changing to 1768x992.

Thanks for the advice though.

hmm if that works then you're not sending native, and the panel will downscale it down again.

Can't you output 1366x768 (native) then get monitor to work 1:1, with no overscan?

Just tried what you said but all it did was made the screen go small with a border, then I clicked all the scaling option which made it go back to a full size screen with a border, I also clicked "change to native" (which it says is 852x480) and this made the screen go blue and display "not support" and I had to wait for screen to revert.

If it helps any, I have a 7900GTO connected to a Sony 40W via HDMI-DVI cable, running the 158.24 drivers.

The native resolution is reported under the scaling options as 720x480, which is wrong, and actually different than the last time I checked, so ignore what it says there.

Find out what the native resolution of your TV is, and manually set the resolution to that. I have mine set to 1920x1080 @ 60hz, and the option on the TV menu for that input set to 1:1 pixel mapping, and it's perfect :)

I'm not suggesting you set yours to 1920x1080, as that's the setting for my TV, find out what your native resolution really is, and set it to that.

HTH,

V1N.

Just this second heard about found and installed the beta drivers 160.03, there not on Nvidias website but where not that heard to find (heard there is also 160.04),they are working fine.

Thanks for all the help, problem solved ;)
