Im looking at getting a cheap dvi switch box for use on the FP241w monitor. Are these switch boxes still ok for use with HDCP content? as i want to plug the pc and PS3 into it. The ps3 in particular wont even display if hdcp gets broken.

Am currently using hdmi for ps3, but am gettng abit annoyed at the cropping as it cuts of some info in some games. Benq UK Support claim there not aware of the overscan fixed firmware for this screen which seems odd to me, so am wanting to try the dvi switch route.

You need to spend quite a lot of money to get a good KVM for DVI monitors.

Have a look at the ATEN CS62DU at about £70 or the ATEN CS1762C (£150) or the one I have - ATEN CS1764C is about £200 retail - and they do support all DVI video formats, but I think you may well be very disappointed at anything under much under £70.

Did you ever get a KVM as I need to consider doing exactly the same so i can have my PC and PS3 both using the DVI connector on the monitor.

I havent yet, still concidering.
seen some cheapo A-B Passive dvi switch boxes on the bay. Only issue might be they break HDCP so the ps3 would work through it. a gamble I havent decided to take or not yet ;)

I read last night that the best way to do it reasonably cheaply is to buy an HDMI switch. Connect your PC to the switch using a DVI>HDMI adaptor do the same for the monitor and then connect your PS3 or 360 to the switch with a straight HDMI>HDMI conector. Do a quick search in google and you'll see what I mean.
