Well the DVLA have screwed me over so many times now that coming to the conclusion that they are a bunch of retarded burger flipper rejects is quite easy.

Thank the lord for more sensible people at the VROs (also the DVLA, but seem to have the cognitive ability to at least know where they are and what time of day it is)
 
Anne - Why won't you help the woman who had her car taken away?
DVLA - It's up to councils to check the data they're working with.
Anne - But they get the data from you.
DVLA - We don't make many mistakes.

That was shocking wasn't it, car was towed away and sold.

Council saying it's the dvla's fault as they supplied the wrong address, dvla are saying it's up to the council to re-verify that the details that they've provided are correct.

I was just amazed that the man from the dvla could say this, maybe he needs reminding of what dvla actually stands for?

that was absolutly shocking they stole that womans car....

they **** our tax up the wall and give it to all sorts of scum, I really hope they give that woman the money to replace her car...

I accept mistakes get made, and can see how this might slip thru, however at the point the DVLA say they made a mistake, the council should have instantly given the woman the money for a replacment car (As they sold it) plus a few 100 extra compensation...

they are all government departments, the money comes from the same place at the end of the day..

I spose I would need to be watching the TV.
 
I wouldn't mind knowing:

A.) What the program is/was
B.) What time it was on
C.) What channel it was on
D.) Whether it's on iplayer etc

If I were the girl who lost her car, I'd be going for the full value of the car, a year of statutory interest and then 50% on top by way of compensation. Any other losses I'd incurred I'd also be billing them for.
