eurgh can we make dredging a bannable offence?

Guys, where did you learn to type on dvorak? did you use some tutor? I'm currently using typing study , but I'm not sure if it is the best option. What do you say? Any suggestions?

umm,
I sort of just changed layout, and did 10 mins of typeracer at lunch times.
I found I learned fairly quick, but I have blank keycaps, so you learn fast or go home

Yeah, I'm not sure that this keyboard would actually be any better because you are largely limited by the fact that your brain cannot process language with a keyboard quickly enough, so changing the layout of the keyboard would have no distinct advantage.

That would be my thought too the main limitation is the feedback loop between eyes, brain, and fingers. I can understand in the old days of typewriters when you had to depress the keys a good 1"-1.5" just to get the hammer to hit the ribbon and had to give them a good punch with the finger too (mother was a professional touch typist so always had typewriters lying around the house and used to mess about with them as a kid)

These days the keys are just switches you barely have to move your finger to depress.
