I bought an asrock extreme 4 gen 3 mobo on Tuesday night for delivery Thursday some time, I work through the day like most others so left a note on the door too leave with a neighbour or in my blue bin, I came home from work to find the calling card of DX saying go on-line to book re delivery because they had taken the parcel away again so I went to there site only to realise I had missed the cut of for next day because it was after 6pm and it was going to be Monday.

My computer is currently in bits so I was gutted that I wasn't going to be able to build my new sandy rig over the weekend and thought i may be able to pick it up from them like you can with a normally delivery service! next day I waited till 9 then tried calling and calling and calling but just kept getting an automated service but I wanted to speak to somebody about collection :( I tried for about 40 minutes before somebody answered, I told the guy my problem and asked if I could pick it up and he said NO even though they had a depot 3 miles away from me so again I stressed I needed the parcel for Friday so he told me to stay on the line whilst he phoned the depot.

5 minutes later and at 10p+ a minute he came back and said I couldn't collect it but they would deliver I for £12, I felt like my arm was up my back but really wanted to build my pc so I said OK I just happened to enquire about why they hadn't left it before when I had left a note and he said its because he needed id from ME and they wouldn't leave it with anybody else bar me..... I said to him so if you deliver it today I will need to be there and you wont leave it with my wife? correct was his answer!!! so i need to take a day of work to get my parcel??? correct was his answer!!! well just send the parcel back then mate.

I called overclockers right after this conversation with DX and told the guy on the phone what had happened, now I wish id have got his name because he was fantastic :D a new board is coming my way for Saturday delivery which he had to charge me for but only at next day rates so the build is back on when I thought all was lost and when I say charged I mean only for the delivery not for the second board they have sent out before receiving the first one back......this guy bent over backwards to help and if you reading this.......THANK YOU..... you know who you are ;)

customer service at its finest.....this is how to keep customers OCUK :)

I couldn't pick a word out of that. So here's a comma, an apostrophe ', and a full stop.

And a new paragraph for you.

Ah. It appears a fellow OcUKer was experiencing difficulty with a delivery, and a member of the OcUK staff performed admirably to get him a motherboard on Saturday.

Hurrah!

DX were great for a northern Ireland delivery, when no other options were available.
I however do not understand why the op had to pay to have the card redelivered.

If you're going to 'wow' him then don't forget to highlight 'your' also.

That's what I was thinking lol. I don't see the point in correcting things like that anyway - if you can read it and understand it, what's the problem?
