I would like to know when we can expect to see some DX10 cards for sale and also what will they be named?
 
Think we should see the G80 around November. DX10 support will be with Vista which is due early next year.
 
It hasn't. Vista is set to be released this year. We should also start seeing some DirectX 10 cards before Christmas. Just not sure when, exactly.

But, as always, things can change. I woulden't be at all suprised if both products slip an unknown number of months :rolleyes:
 
I was under the impression that business versions of Vista were due in November whereas consumer editions were due in January.
 
I guess we will get Vista when it eventually appears, thats if its worth getting of course as it may take some time for developers to utilize DX10 in games and the hardware may also not be that great on its 1st gen either.

Thats what i have read aswell :D but as the beta last's until june that will give us time for ms to iron out the bugs :) and ya i would expect the G80 to come out around jan-march 07 and the R600 ....

what about those of us who has vista rc1 , we have vista now ......lol and we have dx10 ....although no games support it yet ,
dx9 games will run faster under vista than dx9 games on xp , as vista will be optimized for games and the drivers will be far more stable.

Thats whats been mentioned also, very unlikely Vista will be out till this Xmas, proberly Jan/Feb time...

But I bet we will see some DX10 card end of this year :)
