DX10 Games

What is going to be the first dx10 game? And when?

I thought Company of Heroes and Supreme Commander where both to be patched to dx10 by now. So it is looking more likely that the first dx10 game will be Hellgate London in July.

When is Halo 2 for the PC coming out now? Last I heard it was in May and required dx10?

I'm not going to suck up to Nvidia just because I bought one, Just like to speak my mind :D , If you think I'm bad you should hear my farther... lol

I'm not sucking up to Nvidia either, in fact I had about four ATI cards before this card. :p

I just think it's pretty obvious that Nvidia have done their job by providing a graphics platform for DirectX 10 software to run on, now it's up to the developers to make good on their job which should've happened months ago with Crysis etc.

im not one for correcting peoples posting styles etc, but please put your quote and then your response underneath. I read your reply to someones post, and then youve quoted it underneath, makes for confusing reading!

OT: The only people to be held to blame are the people that actually believed the hype in the first place. If you went out and bought 2 x 8800 then more fool you for not having the common sense to realise that:

a) the computer game market takes a long time to do anything, there was no way a DX10 game would be out at a similar time as Vista.

b) You never buy a new OS within the first 6 months of it being released anyway. They never work right off as the bugs are still being ironed out and it takes driver support a while to catch up. You should wait for those that 'need' the latest technology to start reporting the problems.

c) It would take a while for drivers to be created, tested and released!

You need a CS:S improvement with a 8800GTS?
My old 6600GT used to play that on max

indeed i do, its something wrong with drivers, i mean i can play it maxed out with AA/AF and HDR, but i no for a fact i should be getting over 100fps.

Fair point, I haven't experienced it with Vista.

Back to OP. There are no guarantees in the games business, which is why holding you breath based on marketing promises can leave you frustrated. i.e. those ATI fanboys waiting 15 months for R600.
But also buying the best gear as soon as it's out can seem like a waste of money if it can be used at its maximum potential.

Personally, I'm waiting for proof of DX10 abilities and lower prices before I buy
