Thanks mang... We had a spare house rad, and it wasn't being used, so I hooked it up the computa. :) It was huge tho, and took up too much room, so I'm in the process of replacing it with a smaller rad. :/ I've still got some pics of the original set up tho.

Mmmmm pics (slavour slavour) Lemme see :)

I'm in a 50ft x 31ft loft so space is no object to me :)

well vista no doubt has issues but i suppose any OS does this soon after release and as far as i can see dx10 on windows xp would only be useful as a stop gap until vista was closer to xp's performance.
as for vista sp1 vs dx10 xp release i know wich one will come first so really i cant see the point and its not like there is going to be vast amount's of dx10 software for us to play with in the meantime so are we missing out by not having dx10 on xp, i don't think so.
By the time we would have the software to be at a loss vista will be performing a far sight better.

And for the people who proclaim that gamers whine about spending money on operating systems and spend to much on hardware i say this
i run xp and on the rig in the sig i can happily play dirt on 1280x1024 on ultra settings its smooth and i have no doubt at a comfortable frame rate.
i installed my new copy of vista and then dirt i played at the same res same settings and low and behold in parts i got judders and slow down were there was drops in fps.
so by using vista i decrease my performance and cost myself more money to add more ram to get back to were i started.
i cant do this so xp goes back on vistas back in the draw and as soon as i have the funds ill be waisting more money (sarcasm) on some nice new shiny ram to put in my system to prepare it for the vista 're'upgrade when the first service pack is released and the thing is a lot more hardware/ram friendly

That is fantastic mate! :)
Thanks. If I had more room, I would do it with the new c2d rig I am building. Unfortunately, the radiator has been relegated to the garage as I have no room for it in my room. :(

The whole rad took around a gallon to fill, so it acted as a res also. Totally passive, and my temps never went above 40 degrees. :)

ok after all that ms if thay wont scamin ***** thay make dx 10 work on xp but like evey company thay out there to make money even no evey thing thay do is a copy of unix or linx are any outher os thay copy

Offically your only meant to get OEM with PC parts for a complete BUILD, not a £2 mouse and a copy of OEM or more so OEM bought on its own.

OEM is meant to be used on that BUILT PC and DIES with that BUILT PC, it is not meant to be transfered to your next BUILT PC, and can legally only be used on 1 PC.

The OEM license allows a user to transfer Vista to a new machine as long as the new PC uses the same motherboard as the old PC.
All the other devices can change as much as they want.

Actually the rules for OEM are different.
You can legally buy OEM Vista without any kind of hardware at all.
The OEM license is tied to the motherboard that is used during the initial installation.
The license remains with that motherboard.
You can replace or change any of the other hardware, however the OEM license remains tied to that motherboard.
The license does allow for hardware failure - so if the board breaks you can replace it.
Otherwise, as soon as you upgrade the motherboard your license is no longer valid and you will need to buy a new license.
