Can you mix a PrimoChill Dye Bomb - UV Red to Thermochill EC6 cooling liquid. or will it not work

Do you really, really want to fill your waterblocks and radiators with coagulated dye? Cos that's what'll happen, whatever you add the dye to.

I've been using Primochill dye for almost a year now without issue. Can't speak about EC6 but I have added Primochill dye to Fluid XP+ and it hasnt caused any problems.

I spoke to paul over at Theromchill (in the past) and i advise you not to mix mayhems dye with Thermochill EC6 if it is all ready coloured, they are two different dyes and we both do not know what the reaction would be.

Only mix is with Clear version of themochill ec6

im all so advising you not to mix a so called dye bomb with it again the reaction may not be good.

not going to mix mayhems dye, was looking at adding a primochill red UV dye bomb to EC6 red, as the EC6 red is the only one that is not UV active. Primochill dye bomb info does say "Special water soluble solution can be mixed with almost all current coolants on the market, including water"

Will hold off adding the UV dye bomb till I can get more info

the reason why it did not add UV red to that mix was because it separated hence why i am advising you not to mix primochill dye bomb with that red. You may find that if you do it will separate and i would rather you know this than ruin your equipment.

this is why we spend months testing , re testing and then doing it over again to make sure things like this don't happen. EC6 works fine the way it is, if you start adding dyes to a all ready pre made coloured mix you may have problems.

OFC it up to you what you do though :).

Despite what Primo say, you'll most likely be disturbing the composition of the Thermochill stuff, or any other coolant for that matter. I'm surprised such a system actually works!
