WHAT IS DYING LIGHT?
Dying Light is a first-person, action survival horror game set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown. Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning’s first light.

FEATURES
Survive the Night
During the day, players roam free and scavenge for supplies and weapons. But at night, the world undergoes a deadly transformation: the hunter becomes the hunted as the infected grow more aggressive and numerous, and something far more sinister awakens to stalk its prey.

Free Running Movement
Whether tracking prey or escaping predators, Dying Light lets players swiftly navigate the world by seamlessly leaping between buildings, grappling up walls and pouncing on unsuspecting enemies.

Open World Environments
Dying Light is set in a vast open world, delivering expansive and varied environments, a wide variety of enemy classes and a hopeless tale of survival where resources are scarce and the infected are not the only threat.

Brutal Melee and Ranged Combat
get up-close using a variety of light and heavy weapons including knives, bats, axes, sledgehammers and more exotic weaponry or utilize guns and other firepower to take down enemies from a distance.

Choose Your Play Style
Dying Light features four playable characters that can be fully customized and upgraded to match any play style.

Craft Your Weapon
Why use a wrench when you can use a wrench wrapped in electrified barbed wire? Dying Light's sizeable crafting system enables players to create a slew of new, more potent weapons and equipment, as well as specialized ammunition.

Breathtaking Visuals and Gameplay
Dying Light is the first game powered by Chrome Engine 6, a cutting edge incarnation of Techland's proprietary technology, designed from the ground up for the new console generation, DirectX 11 and other advanced solutions.

Searched but couldn't find a thread.

Looks like this has now been delayed until February 2015.

The first trailer looked really promising although it was all CGI but watched the gameplay alittle while ago and it just looked so dull.

Hopefully the delay will make it better

I've got this on my order list - can't wait for it.

I will be playing through it in full with my wife. Considering that, I know i'll have great fun with this game even if it's only average at best. So if it's actually good on it's own merits, then playing co-op is going to be an amazing exerperience.

Gutted it's held back but if it makes it better so be it. Just my wife really only likes a very select few genres of games and it's been a long time since we have played one together (and that was RE6 which even she hated as a die hard RE fan).

We really enjoyed Dead Island - despite it being fairly boring if I had done it myself...it was really fun together.

Hope it's not too long until this comes out

Sounds great, reminds me of Don't Starve. Collect supplies throughout the day but get back before nightfall or you'll be done for.

If it's as boring as Dead Island it won't be up too much so can't say i'm overly fussed it's been delayed.

Here is a 21 minute gameplay video I found on YouTube:

The guy is like Spiderman the way he moves from rooftop to rooftop. For some reason the link is starting at 2:12 so you'll have to rewind it.

Man ths game looks awesome, really scary. Some new vids on Youtube, including from theRadBrad, who is just a cool and likeable game commentary maker.

Can't wait for this game!

I'm unsure what this game is trying to be, the 21 min video I posted a few months ago made it look like a serious survival horror but this looks more like Dead Rising.

I am happy as long as the survival horror aspect of the night cycle remains. That way when me and the missus play it together we can have the best of both.
Just messing about killing zombies and having fun - then at night trying to survive together.

The way you can traverse the environment looks really cool so it'll be interesting to see how that looks when it comes out.

Overall, I'd have slightly preferred a more true survival experience but if it's 50/50, that's totally fine by me.

Still looks like the best looking co-op game I've seen in a long time - as far as our tastes go. My wife pretty much ONLY plays zombie games, being a huge Resident Evil fan and all and not really a gamer. That and RTS on PC.
So I'm pretty excited for this
