Someone mentioned somewhere that there is a new feature called dynamic contrast featured in the new betas, it is unclear to me which cards they support, but I would imagine the newer 8800 cards such as the GT and GTS 512.

Anyone know more about this?

Not seen anything yet baring the mention of it on forums. I'm a bit wary of downloading any of those current leaked releases as I believe they are all Laptop drivers with modded inf's.

Once they are up on the Nvidia beta page I'll give them a whirl. Here's hoping that it works on my 88 GTS 640

Got me interested :D

Googled and found this snippet on a forum :
According to NVIDIA at CES 2008, these "Digital Image Enhancements" features are available only for high-end graphics (requires at least 2 shader clusters = 32 streaming processors, one or more shader cluster for 3D graphics and one for Digital Image Enhancements; that is, 8600 GT or higher).

These features are mainly intended for computer displays which lack DCE or other picture enhancement engines unlike recent HDTVs (according to NVIDIA).

Looks like my 88 will be fine - YIPPEEE :D:D:D
