Ha, how have you come to the conclusion that Attenborough did any actual "field work?"
It's not like he went to the South Pole and filmed for 6 months out there, or spent two years in Africa following lions...I imagine it's been many many years since he was properly involved in that sort of stuff.
He literally turns up for a little intro/outro and that's the extent of his filming schedule. He's 92.
Tiger one was good, was surprised by the lack of violence compared to some of the previous shows I would've thought we'd see more, would've been nice at the end if they mentioned what happened to her daughter.
The mother tiger did have an injury in one scene, but Tigers are very hard to find and with only 80 or so in the reserve I guess it's incredibly hard to get the footage. The daughter presumably left the reserve in search of her own territory.
Was that the last one in the series?
Was looking forward to this episode the most, but felt quite disappointed with how little was actually shown...for instance there was not even a single kill captured on film (unless I missed it?).
They just seemed to capture / show events after they happened.
Absolutely amazing animals though.
but won't someone please think of thechildrenpenguins ....... so no one else watched cities
