I am thinking of getting one of these, and wondering if any ocukers have any opinions to share.

I am now allergic to a few things I didn't use to be, the airborne ones being pollen and dust mites droppings.

Despite being a very light sleeper, I have to sleep with the windows open otherwise I wake up very stuffy for reasons unknown, but I suspect it is due to poor air circulation. This means I have to suffer the noise of bin lorries, delivery trucks, and general people/car traffic earlier than I need to wake up, and I haven't had a good nights sleep in a long time.

I am wondering if one of these is the answer. Has anyone used them and found them to be effective?

We have them at work, they're basically junk. They barely shift any air compared to a similar sized fan. They're still noisey on full and they're not going to filter much air because they don't move much.

You'd be better off with a normal fan and a proper room air filter.

Shame, I was buying into the hype. The volume of air moved isn't an issue, but you're right in that if it doesn't move much then it's not going to filter it.
