Been trying to quit as a new years res, but its not happening. Too hard to quit:(

I heard about these ecigarettes & bought some before though it wasnt great.
Can anyone recommend any good ones;)

I went on fruit flavoured nicotine gum, once the packet ended i didn't have cravings anymore.

when i was younger my parents were heavy smokers.. to help them quit i stole their fags and sold them at school.. they soon couldnt afford to smoke, and got used too the fact they couldnt have any...

when they finally realised id stolen them mind you, i got hung drawn and quatered. which made them wanna smoke more, lol. instead, whenever they fancied one, they had a lollypop instead :D neither one of them has smoked for about 9-10 years now?

It's not hard if you want to do it, either continue to smoke or stop smoking - don't come out with excuses as to why you can't stop.

Try Alan Carrs book on stopping smoking, I used that and haven't had a smoke in 3 years without any real cravings either.

You do mean Allen Carr's right? because I just bought this for £6.50 hope it helps me out. Will look at the Joye510 if I cant take it no more.

Thanks for the suggestions. Its going to be tough giving up.

Depends what you want. Powerful, large carts, more battery life, portability, but relatively little taste and quite dissimilar to the exact hand to mouth addiction, Titan 510 + PCC. For better taste, a smoother draw, closer to actually smoking, but lower batter life and smaller carts, The 'Mini' DSE901.

If you don't know much about them at all, I can write a bit of beginners info up for you if you want.

A beginners info would be great! Before I bought a pack on the bay for around £35 but it was nasty everytime I had a pull I would suck in the liquid goo also, straight into my mouth (NASTY).

Yeh something for better taste smoother draw equivalent to a real smoke would be fantastic, for when the cravings come.

Heh, you fell into the trap that a lot of people do. Poor quality retailers really badly over-exagerate what you can get out of e-smoking as a whole, and of the packs they sell. Basically, they pull together a piece of crap set, and sell to people who don't get decent info at a high price.

First things; Cartridges, are not, have never been, and will likely never be the equivilent of 'At least 40 cigarettes' or 'At least a full pack of cigarettes!'. One battery will never last a full day. Buying pre-filled carts is a rip off, taste bad and just generally a bad idea.

There's 3 parts to the e-cig; Cart, Atty and Battery. Battery i'm pretty sure you can work out. The atomiser is what heats up and turns the e-liquid into vapour. They have limited lifespan which differs between models, and also between individual attys. Cartdiges also differ between models, and contain a wool like padding which holds the e-liquid.

Depending on what your daily cycle is will also affect what model/accessories you should get. As a general rule, you will want to invest approximately £100 give or take to start with, and upkeep will cost you maybe £20-30 a month, depending on your useage.

Currently, the only reliable PCC (portable charging case) on the market is only available for the Titan 510, so if you're very mobile during the day, or apt to have to shoot off at any moment, this is the obvious choice. The PCC will hold a battery, 3 carts and an atomiser. The case will charge the battery on the move, as batteries generally get 3 or so hours of use out of them, so this saves carrying spares around with you.

The problem with the 510 is, it is substantially longer and heavier than a standard cigarette, and all the new models use what is called a manual battery. This means you have to depress a button on the ecig to activate it, which means holding it like you would a cigarette is fairly different. Also, different flavoured liquids tend to have their taste boiled out of them by the Titan's incredibly powerful atomiser.

The only other 'real' choice is the Mini DES901. This model is much closer to smoking, with a smoother draw, automatic battery so you can hold it like a normal cigarette, and it is closer in size and weight as well. The atomiser makes liquids taste a lot better as well.

Both are good, but it depends on your lifestyle and current consumption. How much do you smoke a day currently?

How oironic, ive bene thinking about getting one of these myself.

Got my eyes on a 901, seems to be the best of the bunch for me, I only spoke around 5/6 a day so this would be perfect.

Just cant decide on what liquid to get to refill!

Sw1tch, do you drip straight onto the Atty instead of re-filling the carts?

If i'm going out then carts are a must, but at home I tend to drip as it's easier, you get more vapour and it tastes better. Takes a day or two to get used to how much to use but after that it all works good.

As for liquid, there's lots of flavours. I find the best tobacco flavours are Camel and Hilton. Good other flavours are vanilla and strawberry, but i've also had crazy things like Roast Beef, Chicken, Parma Violets, Absinthe...endless list.

I smoke around 10/15 a day What would you choose between the two & what liquid can I get that tastes like a normal cigarette (no need for menthols, strawberry etc...)
:)

How many teeth do they have left? :D

Try the patches mate, they worked for me, I quit for a few months after a couple of weeks on patches. Because you have to take the patch off to smoke without feeling horrible it makes smoking more effort than it's worth.
I only started again because something quite stressful happened, no details given.
