E-sata?

some mobos have a sata port in the back
is it possible to get a power adapter as well or i should do it the ghetto way (cable from inside the case)

External SATA connectors are not the same as SATA connectors, some motherboards have them built it (new ones usually do), but you can get PCI cards that will have them. I'm a bit unclear about your power situation, what are you wanting to do?

the mobo that i am planning to get has a connection at the back.
i just want to have a hd outside so i can fit more

A hard drive enclosure will have it's own power supply, so power isn't really an issue you just need a spare wall socket nearby.
