E2140 or E2160

Thats unusual for that mobo.

Are you sure you have taken your ram out of the equation?

Well my ram is actually underclocked as its running on a divider.

I'm at work right now but sure its running @760mhz (rated 800mhz).

If i run at 390 its unstable with no amount of volts to make it stable and 400~415 just wont boot, even on 1.55[bios].

Sure its my mobo, unless it's just the limit of the cpu as Devious said.

*** do you think i can get my E2160 up to im at 3Ghz at the min and my cooler is a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
I have mine at 2750Mhz with that cooler and I feel I could get it higher if my motherboard allowed

Sorry i am new to this so the higher stock speed you can buy on a core 2 duo the better, if you are not going to overclock.

Yeah thats it, but then again you could have two identical chips and end up with a very different outcome.

Which one would you get if you were NOT going to overclock E2140 or E2160?

I wouldn't go for the E21** range if i wasn't going to overclock, thats the only reason its so popular.

I have got my E2140 from 1.6ghz to 3.0ghz, thats the only reason i bought it.

If i wasn't going to overclock then i would have got a e6600 (at the time), or now the E6750 / E6850.
