e2160 one core at 100% wtf?! HELP

Guys, help i boot into windows really stuttery, took me ages to get this screen shot but nothing appears to be using the processes yet one core is running at 100%

Help its bank holiday wknd and i want to game

another symptom seems to be it endlessly tries to find the network cable..

edit: Ok i located the problem, seems to be if i plug in the ethernet cable core0 goes mental, if i unplug it freezes to crash, wth s going on?!

Try disabling your network adapter under device manager and see what happens. After that try to see if a driver update to your network adapter helps. Also when did this start, any updates before it happened?

It happened after i tried putting 1.5V through the processor to get 3.4Ghz, so i returned everything to stock and still the same so i tried unplugging the ethernet cable and problem solved, plugged it back in and problem again so at least i isolated it.

Odd thing is while the problem occurs on processes it shows system idle process at 99%.

Then i tried plugging the ethernet cable in a different socket on the router and hey presto problem solved. going to try to OC again now and hopefully the same issue wont reoccur but if anyone knows why it would react like that i'd be interested to know.

Mine does that but only sometimes, might go back to wireless now I know what is causing it!

Sometimes its caused by running an IDE device in PIO too not DMA. Interrupt driven IO sucks *** balls...
