Thoughts on the conference, well kinect is exactly what i thought it would be, ultra casual but thats the point, not happy that the price for it looks to be between $150-$189. If it cost about £60-80 mark then i reckon it will be worth a laugh only if it comes with a game or a demo disc.
Game wise MGSR looked pretty fun very different to MGS4 but it will be interesting to hear more about the game.
The crytek game was all pre rendered but looked like a roman god of war thing with possible co-op.
Gears 3 look liked a more colourful gears game, i expect it will be good fun with 4 player co-op, still think Cliffy B is a bit of a numpty.
Halo Reach looked very halo esq (no surprise) until the star wars battlefront flying in space bit, that looked much better than the halo bit.
The kinetic stuff some looked staged some looked real, much like the milo kate thing from last year, but i can see the appeal for the casual games but as i said it all depends on the price. The star wars thing looked horrid IMO but im sure it will be fun even if its an onrails sabre thing, hopefully you can use one of the plastic light sabres so you can do an impression of the starwars kid. Hopefully we will know more when (if?) the press gets full hands on with all the games.
The Forza thing didnt interest me much, would rather have a wheel than pretend im driving, without force feedback I dont think it would be a fun "serious" driving game. At least they got head tracking in this time see how it compares to GT5s on tuesday.
The new 360 slim release date was a surprise but looked ugly from what i see, no chance ill get one as my 360 is very much my second console, unless my one dies a death.
In the end it was pretty much what i thought it would be, pity there wasnt many games shown that interest me, but it was always going to be about natal/kinect and casual stuff. I cant wait for hands on impressions and more info about the 360 shrunk.
