E3 2014

Does anyone think Fallout 4 will come to light this week?

Thought I read something not that long ago that basically said Bethesda weren't announcing any new games at E3? May be wrong though (hopefully)

I'm a bit confused as to what the difference it between BF3/4 and battlefront is?

Battlefield 3 and 4 are modern online FPS games.

Battlefront is a Star Wars game (with gameplay/modes similar to Battlefield in). - following on from this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Battlefront_II

Better for Grim Fandango to be a timed exclusive than wholly an exclusive.

I'm curious as to where this came from - i thought there generally wasn't much of an appetite for point and click games? Did the popularity of Walking Dead change that?

Grim is not point and click ;)

The thing is, where did Schafer place is begging bowl when he needed to fund his next project?

Disney? Nope.
Sony? Nope.
Lucasarts? Nope.

Everyone he went to said they were not interested or Schafer thought they were not suitable.

The fans, to whom he releases a PC title gave him a large chunk of the money.

I appreciate Disney/Sony came to him this time around but it still stinks.

Grim Fandango a Sony "timed exclusive".

**** Schafer
**** Disney
**** Sony

Talk about a giant finger to fans.

Sure it is full on exclusive rather than timed exclusive? In press conference he says "exclusively to ps3/vita"

edit

"Talk about other platforms soon! Sony's been a great help making this happen & we're excited to be working with them on the console version!"

timed

Rainbow Six Vegas was brilliant, sunk many hours into that with mates on 360, the 2nd one was decent but didn't have the same feel as the 1st. Is the mode they showed the only thing you can do online or will they still have team deathmatch?

he's been wanting to get the rights to the older Lucas Arts games for some time now, I guess this was the only work around (given Sony and Disney's relationship) so I can't really blame both sides. They know that the originals games success was on the PC platform, so Schafer must be feeling pretty bad, considering even their latest games have done best on PC, whether it be due to ports or community funding.

I just really hope that they don't mess around with it too much. I would hate to see some of the puzzles more dumbed down or streamlines, I jope it's just a simple process of making it run on modern machines and removing the tank-control movement system.

No Man's Sky looks by far the best so far. Hope it won't take too long to appear on PC after PS4 (though I have a PS4). Bloodborne looks ok, but 30FPS target is depressingly awful, even if the screens I've seen look good .. hopefully it makes it to PC one day. Artistic direction of The Order: 1886 looks good. Don't see myself buying any PS4 titles this year, save for Last of Us: Remastered. Though no doubt I'll try some of the 'free' ones you get with the PSN subscription.

Zelda and Splatoon both look great on Wii U. Never a fan of the Smash games and the new one looks equally unenchanting to me. Don't think I'll be buying another Wii U game until next year, as I have DK / MK8 / Pikmin / both Mario games already.

Dragon Age looks much better than I ever expected it to.

All the Ubi games look dull.

Destiny looks like ****e.

Nothing on XBAX looked remotely appealing, save for some of the indie games shown, all of which will make it to PC (and / or other platforms).
