E36 328 tyre question

Hi BMW experts

Could anyone tell me whether a rear wheel size 255/40/18 will fit on an e36 328.

Is it a sport? What suspension are you on? I think it will be ok, might be a little wide depending on the setup.

I'm really not sure Rare. It's a question someone has asked me and I thought I'd ask here. Don't know what car is it, but would it be fair to say that if he owns a Sport then that wheel size would be okay?

It should be 255/35/18, but I'm not sure of the answer. If not you could just fit the 225/40/18 fronts all round.
