Hi guys I have decided to upgrade my pc I am looking at getting the E4300 but the are a few different boards I was looking at I was wondering if you could tell me which board would go best with this CPU.

  • BFG Nforce 680 - 1333MHz FSB
  • EVGA nForce 680 - 1333MHz
  • Asus M2N32 WS Pro nForce 590 SLi
  • DFI Lanparty UT ICFX3200T2R/G RD600 - 1333MHz
  • Asus P5N32-E PLUS SLi nForce - 1333MHz
  • Asus P5B Deluxe

What difference does the FSB do to a board, is a 1333MHz board better and faster than a 1066MHZ also what are the difference between 975X, 965P and other chipsets mean, and which is best ?

I have heard that the best board is the BFG 680i is this correct, I will be overclocking but only using air probably the AC Pro 7

All depends on what features you need and your price range.
Ive just put together a Asus P5-E SLI/E6300 combo and im happy at 3.3ghz.
Not bad for £204

Got to agree very nice, whats the rest of your rig ?

Yes the p5n-e sli seems a great board. I was shocked at mobo prices when I came to upgrade recently. I mean top of the range boards from asus, abit etc used to be 120-140 max and now prices are ludicrous. If you don't need SLI at 16x or dual network ports then I'd save yerself some bucks and get the p5n-e and spend the extra elsewhere.
