E46 Angel Eyes - Opinions?

Why (MarkDavis) did you post a pic of an E90, you know, the car that came with them as standard

His picture shows the ccfl type, which are NOT oem, and are basically round neons. They are the same as the aftermarket type that chavvy e46 owners fit. ;)

Ah, I may see the difference. Mine is pre-face lift so has the older type of head lamps (not projectors) so look ok. The projector ones look awful.

Chav. Don't do it. If you want angel eyes and you can't afford an E90 get a 5 Series.

They look great on E60/61:

Look fine on a 5 series.

Terrible on anything else, whether its a Bimmer or not.

Just my opinion though, if the OP likes them then just go with it and fit 'em.

Whatever floats yer proverbial. :D

Depends on what angel eyes you get, SOME look normal/OEM and others look way too bright, like how the LED strips on SAAB cars look like Audi ripoffs - that kind. There are loads of brands and types available and over in the USA it seems they're available at most car shops looking at e46 fanatics forum...

Ones that are dim look fine on xenon/bixenon models:

No idea who did it first but I only ever recall seeing them on Audis then all of a sudden new Saab cars had LED strips.

new vaxuahll insignia has the same typre

part of the European Daytime Running light incentive

expect to see every new car with these at some point.

hmmmmm, as long as they're not so bright you are instantly drawn to them and don't look tacky on the wrong body shape it's fine tbh - they don't suit Saab front ends whereas they do on Audis.
