E46 gone wrong again

my local guy i always use wants £400 for the lot, including a metal impellor(sp?) pump, the rad is £100+vat.
He's quoting 2 hours labour at £40 which is good, but then i use him for all of my cars

May I semi recommend you just take the manifold off.

The extra time spent guessing / swearing under the manifold, you might aswell just take it off.
