I have mentioned this before and Fox said OEM only, but these OEM copies yeh or neh? The indicator LEDs look a bit odd no, or do you think these are a good representation of the orginals?

I'd happily have those on my 3-series, look fine to me. I guess the quality could be questionable if they are cheap, its hard to tell from the pictures.

How much would you pay, these are £150. Another set I have seen for £250 which look identical to the ones above which are also copies.

To be honest i dont feel that they look that much better than the nice facelift lights anyway, so i would struggle to justify even £150 on what i see as a pretty pointless upgrade! :)

Copied lights are a bit of a no-no if you ask me, all down to personal preference but in my experience they look tacky, the quality of plastics is noticably different when you are actually looking at them. In general terms it looks like you've been down poundland for a set of rear lights. I wouldnt be in a hurry to spend £150 for that look :p

thats my concern, but then you have to remember the mark up the OEM ones from a dealership are and if infact the copies are to just a high standard. The £150 ones are manufactured in Germany no cheap Taiwan imports.

If it were me i'd be scouring the net for a few pics of cars with these lights fitted, maybe bimmerforums will offer a few to look at and make your mind up over. The fact that they are german may offer a better quality of light, what do OEM versions cost? Don't shell out for them until you've seen what the final product will look like :)

OEM only for me. EVERY set of aftermarket lights I have seen on any BMW look like tat.

Just becuase you buy OEM doesnt mean you need to get it from a main dealer.

No he won't, he has a Coupe. Doesn't have those.

Oh yeah, even so his lights are virtually the same, i cant think that anyone would even bother making those lights for a coupe surely?

Becuase they are LED ones whereas the pre 2003 stock ones are not....?

I'd go for the OEM ones - they're not that much more in the grand scheme of things.

I'd imagine OEM ones would be brighter - less prone to LED failure and will be guaranteed to fit.

The lights on that silver saloon posted above are not led lights though? They are standard facelift lights with incandescent bulbs, like my car has. The only difference between his rear lights and those are slightly different plastic covers.
