Bonjour.

I've just installed win7 on another pc.
Tried little clocking @ 272 x 12.5 = 3400mhz. 1.325 v on the E5200 with the abit IP35 PRO XE board.

But it's not showing up in cpuz.
Any reason why that could be?

Cheers.:)

its your overclock, its not stable at all. look at your cpu-z core speed! 1.6ghz instead of 2,5. if you have your settings too high or wrong the mobo reverts to a lower clock speed than your cpu typically is. it still keeps your settings, but overrides them until you change. same thing happened with me

Yeah but only done 272 x 12.5 = 3400mhz went higher when on vista, and cpuz showed the proper results ?

Cheers.

Your bios probably reset and re enabled C1E and EIST.
272 x 6 = 1632
6 is the minimum multiplier for power saving state.

Try running this stress tester (OCCT). It is nice and easy to use.

When it starts stressing the CPU you should see the CPU speed jump up to its maximum due to speedstep. Also, it will stop if it detects errors or the CPU gets too hot.

I can't see anything like speedstep etc. does my board have this for sure.
My asus Asus P6TD v2 does of course. but can't see this stuff on the otherboard ?

Well this is what i see on this

Might knock it up to 3.6 and leave it as that :)
