The second I saw the thread title I knew exactly what Fox was up to. I no doubt would have been treated the same way if I hadn't posted in here.

If you knew what he upto then there are a few outcomes...

a) You are Oracle and spot the game. You decide to leave it alone to conceal your identity

b) You are Oracle and spot the game. You stupidly post under your new account and make it blatantly obvious who you are

c) You are not Oracle and thus cannot spot any game because it should mean nothing to you in such a case.

d) You are not Oracle yet decide this winds you up anyway for no logical reason at all and then you get massively defensive about it.

I know which option I (and most other people) here will pick.

As I recall, BMW can't use their usual manual gearbox for the 535d due to the torque it produces (so the Oracle thread was hugely amusing :)). Quite why they can't buy in a tougher Tremec or something I'm not sure, possibly due to not having the room to install one.

I don't think Faithless = Oracle.

Oracle was the misguided chap whose mate had his STi mapped/PPP'd at Prodrive. Not via a dealer, oooh no, his mate actually "went to Prodrive", had it sorted there and then.

Oracle drove an E46 330d I believe. I'm pretty sure it's the same 330d that then went on to fiendishly crush his friends newly PPP'd STi on the very first sliproad they encountered, with something along the lines of his mates "astonishment".

Nobody with that amount of (insert your word of choice here) would surely return for more. Well, unless masochistic and really lonely. Benefit of the doubt, and all that.

We know that the E60 535d was never and will never be manual as the manual box can't take the torque.

I think it can and I think it would at a push not turn into a slushpile of heavy, sad swarf. It's the the warranty that is more of a concern to BMW.
