well im just after a general answer

whats a rough guess at max clockable with the above cooler?
If you spend some time reading the forum you will find one million posts regarding how the E6600 clocks but will are still waiting on the e6420 results, its take up has been quite slow and not many results are in yet.

e6600 vs e6420 is no easy choice, I looked into it for a few days and ended buying an e6400 lol :D

As Big.Wayne has said there are not a great deal of 6420 clocks around atm.

From what I have seen on this forum, most people reach 3.2 easy on the 6420 and I have seen one person reach 3.4, but these are still early tests.

For the 6600 most reach 3.6.

Most clocks on the 6600 have been ranging from 3.2 - 3.5 as this chip runs pretty hot compared with the other core 2's.

I personally have mine at 3.4 with temps being 28 idle and 55 load.

I could push it further if I wanted to but I don't know what the max temp is for these things so I'm playing it safe :p

btw I'm using an AC7 freezer pro with 1.45 vCore
