Few niggly problems with my new e6750 build, mainly due to the fact that I'm used to AMD's and DFI boards!
System seems stable enough at 3.2 as after a day of memtest I get no errors. I can run games and 3d mark06 fine however there are two things it can't do.
1, it always crashes during the CPU tests of 3dmark03
2, sp2004 does not error, but only one copy runs past test one, core 1 always stops during the test and just sits there constantly paging. Windows comes up with a warning saying its running low on virtual memory and is increasing the amount but even a few hours later its still on the same test for core 1. Core 0 runs fine. Virtual memory is set to system managed size.
System is E6750 (stock cooling)
2x1gb of Corsair XMS2-6400C4
Asus P5kC
2900pro
Running XP64sp2
Memory is set to corsair recommended settings/volts, speedstep etc disabled, cpu at 1.375 volts (was set to 1.3 and I have increased it but it still crashes)
A bit of googling says that 1.5 volts is the absolute max for air cooling, how much higher is it worth pushing the volts? Also what volts should the north bridge be running at? (its on auto at the mo.)
Thanks in advance for your help.
Dave
