Just installed a E6750 and Turniq tower in my S3 and clocked it to 3.2GHz so far at stock volts. Last night TAT and Everest reported both cores at 20C at idle and 36C running orthos; today in the hot weather idle is 25C and orthos is 40C. Either that enormous cooler is really  keeping the cores below room temp. or the readings are wrong.

I had a E4400 in the mobo before with a Zalman cooler and this was 38C at idle and 60C during orthos.

Are these G0 cores that much cooler?

When you first install a heatsink i find temps are strangely low
after about 48 hours they rise a bit.My 6420 is 28 idle at mo @ 3.2 ghz on tuniq
Go stepping doesn't automatically mean they are cooler they just run at a slightly lower voltage which isn't going to make a huge difference.
When i installed my 6420 it was 20c idle and 39c full load then after a few days crept up and leveled out.3.2 ghz is nothing on these chips though try 3.8 ghz lol.I'm sure you'll be breaching 55c in no time under orthos.

Add 15c to the temps ;)

All 6*50 chips are reporting incorrect temps due to the change in TDP iirc.

An update to temp monitors will hopefully arrive soon. You can change the calibration in core temp though to account for the 15c difference in the meantime.

Now that makes sense :)
