hello all

i,m thining of getting e6850 or q6600, what is the best silent solution (HSF) not ovewrclocking or intersted in watercooling.

i have seen:

Scythe Infinity Heatpipe CPU Cooler
Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B Heatpipe CPU Cooler
Asus Silent Square
Asus Silent Square Pro
Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler

and they may need to fit the asus p5k3 deluxe

any suggestions and opionions would be great

Ever considered the Noctua NH-U12F (Socket LGA775/754/939/940/AM2) Heatsink ?

Im thinking of getting one if i go for a Q6600.

I find my Scythe Ninja is just too big.
My Ninja runs a E6400 @ 3.2Ghz
IDLE - 32
LOAD - 47

EDIT: If your not overclocking, just stick with the stock Intel heatsink, its not worth investing in a aftermarket one if your not going to make use of it. I strongly recommend you look into overclocking though.

hi

i dont mind really as long as is really quiet in load and keeps the cpu cool.

noit really intersted in overclocking tbh

thanks

You can run a Scythe Ninja without a fan, which makes it passively cooled, this could be the solution for you.

Why are you not intersted in going for a watercooling solution which could give you lower temps then air cooling and be more silent at the same time ???
