Hi guys

Does anyone know if oc are supplying these or are they the C0 model?

If I phone them what actually is the E0 bit I am specifying incase I get a numpty on the phone?! and is it E 'zero' or 'o' ?

And I guess this is a pretty good option with an overclock to 4Ghz or so for a gaming rig?

Thanks

Nic

People have had E0's from ocuk but you wont be able to call and specify. Luck of the draw unless you go elsewhere i'm afraid.

just realised I have the following motherboard - Asus P5N32 - E sli - does this support the 45nm technology?

If not can someone spec me a great fast motherboard for overclocking for use with this processor, 4 Gb of Geil ram and a nvidia 8800gtx graphics card?

Many thanks

Nic

Ordered an E8400 on 17th Oct from OcUK, was a Q820 batch which was a C0, so returned it.

Some shops will check stock for you, smaller scale companys - companys like OcUK etc etc you name every big E-tailor, they dont want to know when it comes to requested steppings - their loss!

I got an E8400 E0 stepping delivered yesterday, batch Q827A804. :)

I am after one of these as well, what should I ask for when phoning the retailer? If I just say 'have you got any E 0 (o?) E8400's will they know what I mean? Or will they need some other info?

What's the difference between C0 and E0?. I need a C0 one for my Motherboard, because my motherboard won't boot the E0 without a BIOS upgrade of which i can't do without a processer in there. So will I be missing out on much?.

my 8400 was an E0, however i didnt order from ocuk (card wasnt working on site), this was also luck of the draw as they wouldnt check for em (did ask them to)

mine does 4.1ghz stable at 1.37~ vcore (havent tried lowering yet)
