Many thx in advance :)

Are you using the Intel stock cooler or after market?

If your using the stock cooler then thermal paste is pre-applied to the heatsink.

Yea i'll be using the Intel stock cooler for now,And upgrading to the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro at a later date :)

No probs, The Arctic Cooler Freezer Pro has pre-applied thermal paste as well.
Remember to clean the old stuff off you cpu before installing the AC7 :)

When you remove the old intel heatsink be careful not to damage the cpu socket/pins. The intel compound can set and make a rather tuff bond with the cpu and its hard to remove sometimes. Unclip the plastic frame and "wiggle" the heatsink side to side slightly to break the bond before trying to lift it off the cpu.

In the old days when the cpu had pins it was usual to find that when you removed the heatsink the cpu was ripped out of the socket and stuck fast to the bottom! :p Thankfully the new socket system stops that but the bond can still be a problem.
