EA DOS Attack...Could this really happen ?

...........why would you launch such a random senseless attack on A random user?

Well judging by his posts, maybe they have met him :D

I call BS attention seeker.

Also its on the EA forums and most of that lot make the Daily Mail readership look intelligent and thought provoking.

edit: had a look at his other posts and I don't see anyone taking him serious? He comes across as a whining brat.

Indeed. I love it when people post "proof" with little/no technical understanding of the article they link to. Combine it with the attitude in the post and you're on to a winner.

Lmao that's a good one coming from you, classic.

Wheres you proof? or your technical understanding as you put it?

If you have nothing to add to the discussion then don't bother replying it don't make you look any special. you talk about attitude lmfao way to go you're on to a winner there.

If you want to reply to me regarding the subject fine go a head but if its just retarded comments trying to banter me then don't bother don't have time for trolls.

more likely its a pirate version of BF3 and his PC got attacked by the dodgy executable on it. He also mentions bitcoin clients and .dat files he has lost. More I read his posts the more dodgy he sounds.

I just read a bit further its quite funny he did try and sell the story to the Daily Mail as mentioned above.

Your entire post is full of attitude but you at least didn't attempt to deny not understanding the information in the links you posted. There has already been further technical discussion about the "hack" so there's no real need to re-explain it to you.

On topic: The guy complaining seems to be a bit of a tool and whether or not his claims (of actual data loss/etc) are true it is unlikely that it is Origin solely to blame.

I doubt it's a pirated version of BF3 and there's not really anything dodgy about bitcoin software (no comment on whether or not the idea of the currency itself is dodgy)...I agree with you that he sounds extremely dodgy though and I wouldn't be shocked if he had done something to put his PC at risk - pirated software, clicking email links, dodgy websites, etc.

lmao entire post full of attitude, get a life dude are you really that butt hurt?

An the reason there was no denying it is your the only person that seems to think im giving it so if that's the case then what i said still stands.
Stop trolling an get back under your bridge.

You haven't explained any thing the only thing thats been explained through out is a load of assumptions there's been no real proof posted by your self or is this what you class as your expert opinion?

An just for ***** an giggles could you post/qoute where i was supposed to be giving attitude, well thats if you can lol.

Doh what is there not to understand?

"It seems EA’s Origin gaming service may place tens of millions of players (the service has around 40 million members total) at risk thanks to a design flaw that allows a hacker to execute malicious code on a targeted user’s system remotely. EA Origin is EA’s digital distribution platform as well as anti-piracy mechanism, operating as a sort of relay between players and EA’s game servers similar to Valve’s older, more popular Steam service. EA games like DICE’s Battlefield 3 or EA Maxis’ SimCity require the EA Origin client to run, and it’s an exploitable flaw in that process on Windows PCs, whereby the Origin client employs web-like addresses to access games, that’s at issue.

I would have thought if a firewall was running and only allowing BF3 traffic to pass then this would most likely be achieved through a security issue relating to the Battlefield 3 game code, ie a hacker has exploited a security hole in BF3 to get access to someone's computer.

Microsoft release security patches all the time for this sort of thing so it's not impossible that BF3 has a bunch of them.
