This is a stupid rant so dont take it seriously.

does anyone get annoyed with how EA games are listed in there program folder?

i have

EA
EA Game
Electronic arts

i have NFS, dead space, BFBC2 and crysis/ Why dont they have a standard naming scheme :D

As above, I never use the publisher name....straight into a X:\Games\<game name> folder

Other than Steam downloads of course, but they all sit nicely and play nice inside the steam directory.

I like how some games will go in the 'My Documents/My Games' folder and others, from the exact same publisher and developer (yes i'm looking at you Bethesda) will go straight in My Documents.

I sometimes wonder what the point in the My Games folder was when most companies don't use it.

I am trying to remember the last time I even used the start menu. I either use the autorun menu to start a game if it requires a disc, or use steam to launch it.

I also have a seperate drive for my games so its just D:\<Game Name>.

I rarely launch games from the Start menu either, but it is annoying having stuff put there in random places. Often I go there to look for an uninstall option, as the Control panel applet has got chuck full of Steam games unfortunately.

Couldn't you move them all into one folder, create a junction and hide it?

Actually yes you can because I've just done it.

In fact I'm now using junction points to move everything into the My Games Folder.
