Played a lot of renegade.

People were already modding it a lot before but I've not looked at it for a looong time now and it wasn't super big back then.

Surprised by this but I did love C&C Generals back in the day so this is cool

I did too and grabbed it to play on Steam Deck...only to realise downloading maps was going to be a complete pain in the backside. Adding workshop support is going to be SUPER useful <3

Great news, I still play RA2 and Generals every so often, Generals on my deck worked perfect.

Smart move, they should know the classics will continue to do well.

See how much AOE2 has been milked and revived after the remakes etc...

I bought a big compilation of c and c games years ago, think it covered red alert 1, 2 and 3 and the generals/zero hour and tiberium ones. I enjoyed the older one more, not sure what was missing from red alert 3 I just felt it wasn't as good

I bought the full compendium too last year really cheap on steam sale (not got round to playing them yet though). So where are we going to be able to download mods from? I remember back in the late 1990s there were loads of CnC mod sites hosting great maps

How does it play on the Steam Deck out of interest? Haha I don't have one but I imagine it must be a tad harder than playing with mouse and keyboard?

It depends how handy you are with the touchpads, I use the dpad to scroll and the right touchpad and you get used to it very quickly.

But I played other strategy or sim games on the deck before like Civ6, Pharaoh, Sim city 4, botf, etc...

I used to love the hackers that used to just sit in the background somewhere making you money.

Also quite liked the tesla towers that used to just fry cannon fodder when it got close to them

Shame Tib Sun didn't get included, as that runs a bit poor now. I played through one campaign recently, so would love a remaster of it.

But it'll be interesting to see what comes out from the source code release.
