EA Play subscription increases by 80%

i can think of a few reasons not realted to greed.
like a loss in one area of business being offset to subsription.
increase in bills like taxs/electric/hardware refresh.
could also be a loss of paying/playing customers.

could argue similar for the Rail network, costs going up, services going down. resulting in fewer customers.

its one reason i dont like subscriptions. you lose access once you stop paying. you grow a library and then Puff its gone.
its not a good sign though.

I must admit since stopping with the fifa releases I don’t know what titles they have these days.

I still frequent the odd bit of command and conquer however!

Is that per month?

Do EA even have enough good games to warrant such a cost?

Annual

Which isn't that bad, not that I'd used it for many years. If you play a game on it or buy one of their games each year then it's arguably.. maybe worth it. Certainly a big jump in price though.

Tried this for a month to play the dead space remake since I wasn't interested in paying £50 close to a year after release. It was definitely good value for that single purpose, but I see no reason to subscribe for a year for any of their games.
I've also never tried game pass so I'm probably not the target audience here. Everything is a subscription these days and I'm not interested thank you very much.
