EA Sports UFC

Completed career mode on pro difficulty yesterday. It's ok but feels kind of lacking really. There's really not much content there at all. Gets very repetitive. The AI isn't good enough to make it fun or challenging either.

One thing that annoyed me is the opponents it kept giving me. Like seriously I was heavyweight champion, around 30 wins and 2 losses, 15+ fight win streak, 15+ knockouts in a row, and it's making me fight these randomly generated fighters constantly. I was expecting to be fighting Dos Santos, Overeem, Velasquez...etc. But no. It even made me fight the same 2 people something like 6 times in my last 10 fights. Didn't fight one actual big name in my last 10-15 something fights, just random boring create-a-fighters.

That's another thing. It automatically retires you after 40 fights. So what's the point in the career damage/longevity system?

Had a very satisfying win yesterday. Fought this guy a few days ago who's rank 14 on the leaderboards. He was playing Werdum and I was Cormier. He just spammed thai clinch, takedowns, submission attempts and front kicks in the stand up. I couldn't do much even if I parried his shots I didn't have the range to counter properly. I managed to survive and lose by decision. Afterwards he sent me this cocky message saying stuff like I should have just given him the submission, and that he doesn't like fighting people who don't deserve to be in the cage with him.

Came up against him again yesterday and knocked out his Velasquez with Browne in 2 mins :D No cocky message this time :D

Had a good night on UFC last night, won a fair few fights, some really good tactical fights, seems going unranked games gives a lot less takedown abusers, had a few really good standup tatctical battles, the ground fight challenges did help a fair bit.

So I completed this on Pro tonight, found it pretty easy I only lost two fights.

Unlocked Bruce Lee and Royce Gracie now though :D.

Might start playing online a bit more now, if anyone wants to start up a PS4 tourney I'd be up for it.

playing career with my own character it is on easy and it is very easy won all my fights so far nearly all in first round I am the welterweight champion won 17 fights thus far

Is anyone still playing this? This thread died pretty fast lol. I still play online a fair amount.

There was another big patch a few days ago. I have to say EA have done a great job with this patch. It really plays so much better now. Feels like a more complete, rounded game. Although, the fact that it has taken 2 big patches to get to this point kind of shows the game was completely unfinished at release. I'm sure this game would have gotten more favorable reviews if it was like this at release.
