Anyone know how to poke EA and get them to help.

I've an EA / Origin account on PC , all good, 10 years old, can login fine, play games no problem.

I've just bought an Xbox One in the last few months, when i try and install an EA product, i.e. EA Access ,Battlefront 2, it fires up a logon screen with a very old email address thats still somehow linked to my Xbox Id, this will have been from 8/9/10 years ago when i first had a 360.

I need to somehow unlink the old email from my Xbox id on EAs side and hopefully link it to my current email that i have an EA account on.

I contacted MS who sent me to EA.

I've been on EA help via chat twice, filled out a webform 3 times with all the detail, but they just keep closing the cases with no helpful info. I've kicked off on Chat again and asked for it to be escalated and they keep saying fill out the form. It just feels like they are fobbing me off sending me round in circles.

Anyone had something similar and how the hell did you get EA India or wherever i'm talking to do something about it.

    Crazy.

I had trouble as well, battlefront 2 wanted to use my xbox live email to login with no option to change it to my actual PC EA games email. I went through live chat and they had to change my EA games email to my xbox email so I could login just to play bf2.

Just spent another 40 mins on the phone, they've told me to goto MS and get them to somehow show proof that this was my account. Not surprisingly MS ( on the phone now ) say they cant do that other than what i can get from the microsoft account page .. which shows nothing usefull . Completely shafted. 3 hours so far arguing with people.

I can show i'm the gamer tag as i've still got it and i recovered it fine to my Xbox One / transferred fine to my current ms logon etc , i can receive messages on it, the email address are the same name i.e. first name last name @ ntlworld and gmail ( and sky) , i've said numerous times, why would someone called xxx xxx try to steal an xbox account from 8 years ago with the same name , same address, same location, but they are just not playing ball.

In the Account Management settings, it says you can't unlink Xbox 360 accounts. You can revoke Xbox One but not 360. But why can't you just overtype the old email and password details in your game with your new one? You can have multiple gamertags linked to a single EA account. I've got four or five Xbox 360 ones. It annoys me that I can't unlink them but they don't seem to prevent me from playing with the latest gamertag I use.

Or is it some peculiarity with Battlefront 2 that doesn't allow you to enter a new EA ID? I've only tried it with Mass Effect 2 and 3. What about clearing your Xbox 360 local storage on the console and forcing a profile download on this page? There's no way any game should be picking up previous login details on a fresh profile download.

EDIT: I might be getting confused thinking Battlefront II is an old Xbox game, not the new one.

EDIT2: I still a bit confused. Have you got two different email addresses? One for Origin and a different one for your Microsoft account?

With battlefront 2 on xbox one it automatically uses your xbox email address with no option to change it. My EA origin account was made on my PC and is different from my xbox email. Tech support told me the only way to link it was to change my origin email to my xbox email, which they did and it works fine.

I just don't understand why bf2 automatically uses your xbox email with no option to change it, all you can do is enter a password so it creates a new origin account using your xbox email.

Seems silly to me, but hey this is EA I guess.

So why can't you change the Origin email to match the Xbox email? Or vice versa?

The email account that appears linked to my Xbox id is a very old email addr probably from Circa 2008 when i bought a 360. I dont have access to the email acc itself nor can I logon to the Origin / EA logon via the web etc with that as username, you cant overide it on the Xbox its somehow linked on EA 's side to my Xbox username .. its an old ntlworld account , virgin delete old accs one you leave.

They keep sending security codes to that email for me to unlock it, but as i cant get to the email , doesnt help.

I want them to link it to my current Xbox /Microsoft email addr ( my gmail logon) or give me access so i can do it myself , its still the same id on Xbox as the old one , have Origin acc etc on PC with same email addr as i now use on Xbox ( my gmail acc ), but they wont do it and wont tell me what other info i need to give them, absolute *****

Only other option would be to start again with a new Xbox id completely, but have already bought a bunch of stuff / subscribed to Live / Game pass etc.

Have you got access to any other EA games that need a log in like Mass Effect 2 or 3 or Dragon Age: Origins? I wonder if you could link your Xbox gamertag to your new Origin account this way and then see if you get some kind of drop-down box in Battlefront 2 whereby you can pick an ID to choose from?
