That time of the year again....

Interesting pre order options

Used to be my most played game every year, until the ultimate team cancer really set in.

Wish we could have Fut Champions for pro clubs as an example, or some hyper competitive mode for something out of the generic UT modes.

They put all of these layers into the game, but don't even offer simulation gameplay (which would be ideal for what they claim is trying to work off real life examples) a competitive simulation mode would be lovely to see.

I'll still get it, but I play 100-200 games through a year now vs 1K+ I used to.

I’m undecided whether to bother this year or not. I stopped playing June this year, the player upgrades are getting ridiculous though which sort of takes away the fun for me.
I say this every single year and just get it anyway. I don't think I've missed a single version. I may just submit and save myself the mental clock cycles

Feels like from the beta rumour mill not much has changed gameplay wise. But, that's certainly not unexpected. Although with FIFA 2k and other football games weening through, you'd like to think they'd up the competition a bit.

I am still playing EAFC24, no idea why, but just haven't got disillusioned with it, plus I play the PS4 version what I find waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than next gen. My lad plays it a lot too so I think that's kept me going. Every other FIFA i gave up around May time, looks like I am going to the end of September lol.

I also just packed a tradeable Futties Frimpong that sold for 4.5m and enabled me to buy the meta players I play against each weekend. I find Champs pretty relaxing nowadays. Rivals is still meh, but I try to play just in Div 1, and it's okay.

More embarrassingly I have only missed a couple of Champs weekends since the game came out and never packed any real meta players, not sure if that kept me grinding

From that gameplay video it looks much better than fc 24 as far as iceskating goes.
so fingers crossed
Well I would love to be surprised for the 1st time in 10 years with a FIFA/EAFC game.

It does grate me they use real world footage to train their game engine on and still don't get the basics like foot planting correct (when they can)

so that will be a giant fix (as small as it seems) to the game.

I've just started playing FC24 after years of avoidance (death of PES killed football games for me).
Is the FUT scene really as nuts as it seems? SO many special cards with 90+ pace, dribbling etc... seems massively overkill.

Presumably FC25 will follow suit... kinda off-putting tbh

You're at end of life, always the case, at the start of a new game it's a bit more sane.

you can just play normal seasons instead... but 90% of people flock to UT

And UFL Football is coming out next month if you want to give it a try (inferior product however)

Just over a week to go before early release drops and the anticipation in this thread is wild.

I sort of regret preordering it now as I’m quite enjoying playing other PS5 games and spending time away from my office.

I’m still getting it. Love football too much to care about this and that.

You’re not paying for the game at this point but the player base that moves on every year.

Thoroughly enjoyed pro clubs with a few non fifa friends when it went free on ps+
