Ear Force X41

The A40 and mixamp are a superb combination for gaming but not for much more, but not that I'm bothered because that's all I bought them for and a bit of light movie watching.

I say this because if your a fan of heavy of bass then these will not be for you. I would deffo save or spend the extra money for the A30 mixamp and headset if you prefer a little more bass. They are on cheap on lime atm I'm sure.

But the a30s are cheaper than the a40s....or have i read that wrong?

i know this thread is 2 months old now, but how you getting on with the x41's? I had the px21's for a week before the right ear stopped working. I've had some replacements ordered but i'm tempted to pay another £60 for the x41.s

Hey,

Yea they are pretty good to be honest - good sound on the games, comfortable, wireless is a plus - obviously at the expense of batteries which last ~15-20hours.

My one gripe is for some reason when I have the mic plugged in everyone else in my party can hear themselves back when they speak - as soon as I mute/unplug mic it goes back to normal :/

that's surely a fault? not one i've heard from the millions of other threads i seem to be reading about headsets at the moment :o

I'm liking the idea of wireless and assume the sound will be better than just stereo, but i can't help wondering what another £75 would give me with the mixamp and a40's......

Yes the A30's are cheaper but are reported to have a much stronger kick to the bass than the A40's have. Their reasoning for this are that the A40's are used in a professional environment and say that the lack of bass is so that you can pick up the sounds in the higher frequencies (trying to hear ninja pro or dead silence on the CoD franchise.)

Have to say it works wonders with dead silence but ninja pro is a properly overpowered perk, you can only slightly hear them on concrete and even then it it is really quiet.
