Earplugs for sleeping

I asked in another thread but I thought I'd get an actual response if I started a new one. I also did a quick forum search but couldn't find a real answer.

I'm basically looking for some not-too-expensive, re-usable earplugs (washable?) to be used when sleeping, the more comfortable the better.

Ive looked at these two sites but I have no idea what's likely to be the most comfortable, so I was hoping for some advice.

www.earplugshop.com
www.snorestore.co.uk

They don't have to be ultra sound-deadening, the comfort is more important as I reckon it's going to take me a long time to get used to sleeping with them in, as I'm not a heavy sleeper as is (although this must be due to the noise problem). I guess I could spend 10-15 pounds (can't find a way to change my G15 to european layout after a re-format! so no pound sign), but I don't want to have to replace them every month or something.

So, suggestions please! Also to people who use these regularly, how long did it take for you to adjust to them? Do you have any tips etc?

Most motorbike shops sell them for about 80p (last time I bought some) they are reusable and not bad either

Edit: bah, just beaten to it

I read in a thread my forum search turned up that foam ones should be avoided as they can damage the skin in the ear and can become uncomfortable?

Those look great Flibster but I really can't stretch to that much money unfortunately.

Edit: an online shop would be preferred.

I have been using them for about 8 years in total and do not suffer any ill effects. Pardon?

They are excellent. You need to replace them every 4 years or so though due to changes in the ear canal.

This looks like a good bet then - try them all for a few days and buy the ones you like best.

I wasn't the person that said it, steady on :)

Thanks Flibster, I didn't see that pack, I may very well go for it.

Once I start working again I may invest in something better like the ones you originally suggested.
