I just got through using partition master and feel I must spread the word on how good this program is.

I needed to make a clone of my C: (Vista x64) partition wich was 250GB on a 1TB HD to a 500GB partition on a 750GB HD.

I was a big fan of Acronis and their True image and Disk Director Apps but it is impossible to copy a partition with Acronis, you have to copy the whole drive and it must be the same size or larger. I tried for ages to find a way round it using Acronis to no avail :(

After a google session i found "EASEUS Partition Master" and it was free, I didn't really think a free App could succeed where Acronis failed but thought i would give it a go, you never know!

Amazingly it did exactly what i wanted. I cloned my 250GB Active Vista x64 C: partition and resized it to the new 500GB partition. After it finished cloneing i Made the new partition active, put the Vista x64 Disk in and booted up my PC with new HD, I then selected the repair option in Vista and within a few mins it repaired my new installation (Due to hardware change) and my new cloned Vista installation is working perfectly.

This is simply the best software i have ever used of this type, I hope this helps anyone who want's to do a similar thing.

Thats all :)

I used this app remove the extra partition installed by default on my Samsung NC10 for backup (I think originally the Samsung plan was to clone the active partition into a second partition, which not the greatest backup plan). Very easy, and I now have a single much larger partition. I seem to recall that some people were having trouble putting the partitions back together using Acronis after using the Samsung Wizard.

Nice app :)

Yup, used this for the first time last week, was very impressed with it, a few UI tweaks and it'd be awesome.

Yeah I agree, could really do with a different font for example, but functionality wise I can't fault it.

Mmm, It could do with the ability to set partition sizes numerically as the slider option is just to fiddly for fine tuning, but that could just be me getting a bit OCD :D

It is possible to back up a single partition and then write it to another, even if the other partition is smaller than the original using Acronis

An active windows partition? Are you sure I've tried everything and see no way of doing it in Acronis
