Easiest and cheapest way to get internet without WiFi

Hi there,

Sometimes my internet goes down and I have to use 4G through my mobile phone network provider. This is fine on my phone, but when I need to use the internet on my PC/laptop, I am stuck.

Can anyone suggest the best way I an get internet using 4G on my PC. Would a dongle be the best option? If so, are they relatively cheap and easy to set up?

Any ideas would be great, thanks

just plug your phone into your computer and use the tether?

In order of cost of solutions I can think of, probably

Cable tether if your phone supports it as already suggested >> Old router if you have one that be repurposed as a wireless bridge tethered to your phone >> wifi dongle/card for the PC to tether wirelessly to the phone >> buy a wireless bridge to tether to your phone. All options <£20 I should think.
