easiest games controller for PC - Xbox?

is the xbox 360 controller as easy and plug and play for the PC?


i had lots of problems trying to get the ps3 one to work, dont know what i was doing wrong but it just wouldnt pick up, so i am thinking of just getting an xbox controller if it makes life easier, do you need to install drivers or just plug it in?

Install drivers I think although i seem to remember that Windows 7 might even find the drivers automatically for it.

I use a wireless pad that came with an old xbox 360 along with the usb wireless receiver for pc and it works flawlessly.

Yup, xbox 360 pad works flawlessly with windows 7. Microsoft done good.

Mine also works with Vista Ultimate 64bit without issue.

Xbox 360 controllers are amazing on PC, Vista automatically found and installed drivers, Windows 7 comes with them

yeah I bought xbox 360 wireless controller for windows (came with wireless receiver) and then Play and Charge kit.

It was freaking expensive (some 100 dollars both) but worth it - for example driving in NFS Shift, Mafia 2, DIRT2 is so much more fun than with keyboard. And it is great for console games in general like Force Unleashed etc

If you prefer the ps3 controller "feel", then may I suggest the logitech cordless rumblepad?

Exactly the same shape, placement of buttons as the ps3 pad, use mine for street fighter 4 and its great for this.
