Easiest/quickest single-password for web page

As above, what's the easiest or quickest way to password protect a web page using a single password? We basically stick some of our proposals online as a web page but as they contain sensitive information it makes sense to password protect it in case someone who's not the client guesses the URL. It doesn't need to be anything super secure, just a jS popup even before the page loads or similar.

External OAuth is probably the simplest. You can integrate Facebook or Google's versions in minutes via their JS SDKs.

Is it based on your server, or an online cloud hosting?

Ok so I think they were a bit too much, but @billysielu pointed me in the right direction and I've used htaccess/htpasswd.
